Last June 13-14, I went to the 8th Philippine Toys, Hobbies & Collectibles Convention that was held at Megamall.
June 13:
I arrived around 3pm at the venue. Didn't catch much sleep so I wasn't feeling very well that day. I just went straight to the sound booth to meet up with Ronald Guanzon and Pete. Then I went to the Bayan Knights booth to buy the 2nd issue of their comics. After that we saw another friend of mine who went to the convention. Watched the individual Cosplay Competition for a while before we went outside to see other cosplayers (and maybe breathe because it was just too crowded inside the venue). I was surprised when I saw Carmina Topacio there. If you don't know her, she has a youtube account where she covers songs from famous artists. Too bad I didn't have the cam. And I didn't muster enough courage to approach her *sob*. Met up with my other friends and chatted for a while before going home at around 9pm.
June 14:
Arrived at around 4pm (still not feeling good). Again I went straight to the sound booth to meet up with Ronald Guanzon. We fetched Alodia Gosiengfiao and we became her temporary bodyguards. I was also able to meet some plurk buddies of mine during that time. Watched the Group Cosplay Competition, Fashion Design I was surprised when The Chongkeys performed at the event. I didn't know that they we're going to play there. They played for about 30 mins. I wasn't surprised that the people there liked their music because they're really good. Prolly the best band that performed there. Met up with Kel (ToyCon's Host) and chatted with him for a while when he wasn't on the stage hosting. Saw Renie, Jaypee and Levy before the event ended. Went to Chowking EDSA to eat before finally going home at around 11pm.
Oh and I also met Patsy there (day 1)
We've met at last after being online buddies for almost a year now. LOL
